HKBU Visual Arts student Cheuk Man-yuk, along with her two teammates from other local universities, emerged as the champions of the Disney Imaginations Hong Kong Design Competition 2024, competing under the team name “Lost and Found”. The team has earned a HK$25,000 cash award, a familiarisation trip to another Disneyland Park for a learning exchange, and a three-month internship at the Walt Disney Imagineering Hong Kong office.

A team consisting of Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College (BNU-HKBU UIC) students Wendy Liu, Ledyard Shen, and Yvonne Qian clinched the 2nd runner-up position.

This year’s challenge was centred around the themes of sustainability and inclusion, with a focus on conservation. It invited participants to create an educational experience that showcases and helps preserve cultural heritage at risk of being forgotten. This year, the competition expanded its reach to include more institutions and cities in the Greater Bay Area, attracting nearly 100 teams and over 300 students from Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Shenzhen, and Macau.
