The Hong Kong Baptist University Foundation (the Foundation) elected its Board of Governors for a new term on 23 January. Dr Kennedy Wong was re-elected as Chairman, while Professor Justin Chiu and Dr Ronald Lu were re-elected as Vice-Chairmen. Mr Kevin Liem, Treasurer of the Council and the Court of HKBU, will take on the role of Treasurer of the Foundation, an ex-officio member of the Board. The four new members of the Board are Dr Chloe Suen, Mrs Mary Suen, Mr Ivan Wong and Dr Stanley Yim.
Ms Connie Wong and Dr Stanley Yim have consented to serve as Co-Chairmen of the Entrepreneur Committee under the Board of Governors of the Foundation, while Dr Chloe Suen and Mr Ivan Wong will continue to serve as Co-Chairmen of the Young Entrepreneur Committee. Professor Sunny Wong has been re-appointed as Chairman of the Alumni Committee. The new Board of Governors and its Committees have a term of three years until the end of 2026.
Dr Kennedy Wong said that the Foundation will continue to play an integral role in the University’s endeavours to become a leading, research-led liberal arts University in Asia for the world, helping the University realise its vision of delivering academic excellence and serving the community.
