Professor Guo Yike has been elected as a Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Engineering Sciences.

 

Professor Guo Yike, Vice-President (Research and Development), has been elected as a Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Engineering Sciences (HKAES) in recognition of his excellence and contributions to the field of machine learning and data-driven scientific research.

 

Professor Guo is a pioneer in data science, and he has developed innovative technology and systems for data analysis and machine learning. He is a professor of the Department of Computer Science at HKBU and Imperial College London. His recent work focuses on applying data science and data mining in the life sciences, healthcare, environmental science and art-tech creativity.

 

HKAES comprises Hong Kong’s most eminent engineers from various disciplines, and they are recognised leaders of the profession with distinguished achievements in engineering sciences or applications. The Fellowship is characterised by its dedication to serving Hong Kong, mainland China and the region with top-quality engineering expertise.
