HKBU congratulates Cheung Ka-long on winning the gold medal in the Men’s Foil at the FISU World University Games

Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) extends its heartfelt congratulations to Cheung Ka-long, a member of the Fencing Team of Hong Kong, China, for his outstanding achievement in winning the gold medal in the Men’s Foil Individual final at the FISU World University Games today (4 August).

Professor Alexander Wai, President and Vice-Chancellor of HKBU, expressed his excitement for Ka-long’s remarkable performance: “The HKBU community is proud of Ka-long’s incredible performance in representing the University and winning the gold medal in the Men’s Foil Individual today. His superb performance, driven by his determination and passion in fencing, has set an excellent example among the HKBU community and has inspired us all in our pursuit of excellence.”

Ka-long was awarded a scholarship under HKBU’s Talented Athletes Direct Admission Scheme, and is currently studying in the Bachelor of Physical Education and Recreation Management programme at the University.
