Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) will hold its Information Day for Undergraduate Admissions on 7 October (Saturday). Secondary school students, parents and teachers are welcome to visit HKBU’s campuses in Kowloon Tong in person to participate in various activities, and gather admissions and programme information.
The HKBU Information Day will run from 9:30am to 5pm. It aims to showcase the latest developments of HKBU’s undergraduate programmes, as well as the teaching and learning environment of the University, through a variety of activities.
There will be three admissions talks tailored respectively for students with HKDSE, Associate Degree/Higher Diploma and international qualifications. In addition, there will be a distinctive lecture on “Nurturing Future Ready Students: Transdisciplinary and Technology” providing insights on how HKBU prepares students for future challenges. All these talks will also be broadcast live online.
Meanwhile, our faculties and schools, including the Faculty of Arts, School of Business, School of Chinese Medicine, School of Communication, School of Creative Arts, School of Continuing Education, Faculty of Science and Faculty of Social Sciences, together with the Division of Transdisciplinary Undergraduate Programmes established for transdisciplinary programmes, will offer around 50 programme talks/thematic talks. The activities will be held physically on the HKBU campuses and/or broadcast live online, and interested parties are welcome to participate in person or online.
To provide prospective students, their families and other visitors with an opportunity to explore HKBU's environment in person, a variety of on-campus activities will be scheduled. These activities include guided tours to the University's latest art-tech and cutting-edge facilities, student residence halls, studios and laboratories. There will also be screening or showcase of graduate works, as well as workshops and demonstrations in areas such as news production, live scoring, glass-blowing, and jewellery-making. Participants will have the chance to interact with current students, alumni and teachers, gaining insights and latest information about different faculties and schools, and the wide array of programmes offered.
