Over 100 HKBU students recognised by Government’s Scholarship Fund

Over 100 HKBU students have received scholarships and awards under the Scholarship Fund of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region this academic year, including the Belt and Road Scholarship, the Scholarships for Outstanding Performance, and the Endeavour Merit Award. The presentation ceremony was held on 23 April and was officiated by Dr Sze Chun-fai, Acting Secretary for Education of the Government of the HKSAR.

Professor Amy Lee, Director of Student Affairs, led the six award-winning student representatives to the ceremony, including Iris Li Yu-yin, Tiana Wong, Matthew Yu Chun-yin, and Arzoo Fatima from Pakistan, Lizi Mikadze from Georgia, and Maria Belen Bera Romairone from Argentina. The HKBU award recipients were commended for their excellent academic and extracurricular achievements.

Established in 2008, the Scholarship Fund of the Government of the HKSAR aims to foster talent and recognise outstanding students. It offers five types of scholarships and awards: the Scholarships for Outstanding Performance, the Belt and Road Scholarship, the Talent Development Scholarship, the Reaching Out Award, and the Endeavour Merit Award.
