Pointing to the Moon: Master of Visual Arts Graduation Exhibition

Graduating students of the Master of Visual Arts met with renowned artists at the ceremony
The work entitled Follow Your Nose is like an olfactory travelogue – by smelling the different soaps, one is guided to vanishing parts of the city

The graduation exhibition of the Master of Visual Arts programme entitled “Pointing to the Moon” opened on 12 July 2013 at the Koo Ming Kown Exhibition Gallery of the Communication and Visual Arts Building. The exhibition showcased the work of 42 graduating Master’s students majoring in Experience Design, Studio Arts and Extended Media and Art Administration. The students, coming from diverse artistic backgrounds, committed themselves to the development of creative concepts to achieve their artistic goals.

 

The opening ceremony was attended by more than 300 participants and was officiated by Ms. Agnes Lin, Director of Osage Gallery, and Mr. Shane Osborne, Head Chef of St Betty. Several awards were presented to outstanding students and their work - Outstanding Award of Art Administration (Ms. Amy Chan), Outstanding Award of Studio Arts and Extended Media (Ms. Chirandia Poon), Kan Tai-keung Design Award of Expereince Design (Mr. Dave Cho) and AVA Award of Studio Arts and Extended Media (Ms. Jay Lee).

 

The exhibits will be on display until 9 August (10:00 am to 7:00 pm at Koo Ming Kown Exhibition Gallery, Ground Floor, Communication and Visual Arts Building, HKBU, 5 Hereford Road, Kowloon Tong). For details on the show please visit: https://www.facebook.com/mvagradshow
