International Festival adds richness to campus

Guests and students kick-off the International Festival
Students showcase the unique cultures of different countries at a costume variety show

 

The International Office, Language Centre and Office of Student Affairs organised the annual International Festival last week (21-22 October) to promote internationalisation on campus. Through an array of activities, students were able to learn more about the history and background of diverse cultures of different countries while the international and Mainland students had the opportunity to experience the unique culture of Hong Kong.

 

Activities at the Festival included global village, international photo exhibition, study abroad fair, culture talks, variety show, etc. In addition, Mr Scott Robinson, Spokesman of the Consulate General of the United States in Hong Kong and Macau, was invited to speak at a lecture entitled “Picturing America: Telling America’s Story Through Art”.
