The 4th “INNO-Action! HKBU Academy of Film Seeds Project” kicked off last Saturday (17 January).Officiating at the ceremony were Mr Michael Chan, Executive Director of the Efficiency Unit of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and Mr Hung Wing-kit, Project Coordinator of the Seeds Project and Lecturer of the Academy of Film of the School of Communication.
It was followed by a Master Class on the theme “When we are young” conducted by members of the production crew of the youth film “Uncertain Relationships Society”, including Director Ms Heiward Mak, acting and singing group PlayTime (members include Mr Kaki Sham, Mr Anjo Leung, Mr Yatho Wong and Mr Sing Lam) and Music Producer Mr Wallis Cho. They shared their experience on how to coordinate with each other to make a movie dream come true from the perspectives of different professionals involved in film production.
The Seeds Project is jointly organised by the Academy of Film of the School of Communication and the Government Youth Portal (Youth.gov.hk) under the sponsorship of Create Hong Kong of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The Project aims at nurturing the creativity of secondary school students and enhancing their aesthetic appreciation and artistic knowledge. It also aims to enable them to understand the film and video production industry and provide them with a platform for interaction and exchange.
With the launch of the 4th Seeds Project, a Digital Short Video Competition is now open for entries from all local secondary students.
