The University received generous donations of HK$1 million from Mr K Y Hung, President of Ten Pao Group International Ltd, and HK$200,000 from Ms Jenny Wong, Managing Director of Victory Concept Electronics Ltd, in support of the development of the Jao Tsung-I Academy of Sinology. In recognition of the donors’ generosity, a cheque presentation ceremony officiated by Mr K Y Hung, Ms Jenny Wong and President and Vice-Chancellor Professor Albert Chan was held today (23 January).   

 

Other guests who attended the ceremony included the family members and friends of the donors, Mr Lam Cheung-chuen, Chairman of Sun Tin Lun Holdings Limited, and Mrs Lam; Ms Winnie Ip, President of the Lions Club of Tuen Mun, and members of the Club; Professor Rick Wong, Vice-President (Research and Development) and Professor Chen Zhi, Director of the Jao Tsung-I Academy of Sinology.
