More than 300 Associate Degree and Self-funded Undergraduate Programme students were presented with scholarships and awards in recognition of their achievements at the College of International Education (CIE) Scholarship and Award Presentation Ceremony for the Second Semester of academic year 2014-15 held recently.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr Simon Wong, Dean of the School of Continuing Education, expressed his gratitude to CIE scholarship donors for their generosity and gave his heartfelt congratulations to awardees. He hoped students could see the scholarships as an encouragement and continue to excel in different areas in the future.

Cecilia Ng (Associate Degree, Year 2) received the Outstanding Performance Scholarship from the Self-financing Post-secondary Scholarship Scheme (SPSS) of the HKSAR Government. She said her study experience at CIE was a fruitful and vibrant one, which included a Taiwan academic study tour and an interview with The Hon Jasper Tsang, President of the Legislative Council, at a Liberal Studies forum.

To recognise students’ achievements, in addition to SPSS, the College also offers an array of scholarships, financial aid programmes and awards to students in the areas of academic achievements, community service, outreach, and special talents.
