HKBU hosts Croucher Advanced Study Institute to explore frontiers in big data graph research

The Department of Computer Science hosted last month the Croucher Advanced Study Institute which explored frontiers in big data graph research. The conference was attended by more than 40 scholars and industry practitioners from Hong Kong, North America, Europe and Asia who shared their insights on big data graph research development, management and their applications.

 

The three-day programme included lectures delivered by six world-class scholars, they were Professor Tamer Özsu of the University of Waterloo, Professor Fan Wenfei of the University of Edinburgh, Dr Johannes Gehrke of Microsoft Corporate, Professor H V Jagadish of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Professor Michael Franklin of the University of California, Berkeley and Professor Lin Xuemin of the University of New South Wales.
