HKBU receives HK$2 million donation to set up scholarship and enhance institutional development

The University recently received a generous donation of HK$2 million from Mr and Mrs So Kai-sing of Su’s Sanitary Product Limited. Of the donation amount, HK$1 million was designated for the establishment of the Mr and Mrs So Kai Sing Student Exchange Scholarship and HK$1 million for the University’s institutional advancement.

In recognition of the donors’ generosity, a cheque presentation ceremony officiated by Mr and Mrs So as well as Professor Roland Chin, President and Vice-Chancellor, was held today (22 January).

Guests and HKBU representatives attending the ceremony included Mr So’s daughter Ms Linda So and son-in-law Mr Kenneth Poon; Dr Simon Suen, Chairman of the SML Group and member of the Board of Governors of the HKBU Foundation, and Mrs Mary Suen; Mr Lam Cheung-chuen, Chairman of Sun Tin Lun Holdings Limited; Professor Rick Wong, Vice-President (Research and Development) and Mr Andy Lee, Vice-President (Administration) and Secretary.
