26 Jul 2016

HKBU alumni from the School of Business and the Department of Physical Education gathered recently at two dinner occasions to share in the joy of the University’s diamond jubilee. Speaking at the gatherings, President Roland Chin shared his vision and ideas for HKBU in becoming the region’s leading liberal arts university that delivers academic excellence, innovation and social progress.

The School of Business joined hands with the MBA (China) Alumni Association to organise its gala dinner at the Yihe Hotel in Guangzhou, China. Held last Saturday (23 July), it was attended by over 300 MBA China alumni from Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan and Shanghai, HKBU faculty members, scholars and honourable guests.

The event was the largest activity for mainland alumni that Professor Chin had taken part in since his inauguration. He thanked China MBA alumni for their ardent support to the University and called for their continued support in upcoming activities through mentoring and offering internship opportunities to their junior schoolmates.

At the homecoming dinner co-organised by the Alumni Affairs Office and the Department of Physical Education, more than 280 faculty members and alumni who graduated from the Department of Education from 1990s to 2010s enjoyed a wonderful evening last Thursday (21 July) and shared their fond and precious memories of their campus life.
