The Department of Physical Education ran a two-week Summer Basketball Programme from 8 to 15 August jointly with Springfield College in USA, the birthplace of basketball, with an aim to further enhance the skills of HKBU's basketball talents and to promote the sport to secondary school students.

Ms Naomi Graves, Head Coach of Springfield College's women's basketball team, led her team of coaches to conduct training for HKBU's men and women's basketball teams in the first week of the programme.

In the second week, students from HKBU Affiliated School Wong Kam Fai Primary and Secondary School and Jockey Club Ti-I College and HKBU alumni took part in the training to improve their basketball skills.
