The Honourable Bernard Charnwut Chan, Member of the Executive Council of the HKSAR Government, delivered a lecture at HKBU today (21 September). Over 200 people including HKBU friends, students, staff and secondary school students attended the talk.
Mr Chan spoke on “The well-being of Hong Kong and the challenges ahead”. He shared with the audience his views on some of the challenges facing Hong Kong which have arisen from globalisation and its integration with Mainland China. Mr Chan also mentioned his involvement in various committees that tackle some of the issues Hong Kong people are concerned about. As these challenges are complicated, he encouraged every person in Hong Kong to step forward and work together to move the city forward.
Today’s talk is one of the distinguished lectures in the series supported by Shun Hing Education and Charity Fund to celebrate the University’s 60th Anniversary.
