HKBU Visual Arts creators showcase their work at Hong Kong Sculpture Biennial

22 Nov 2016

The Academy of Visual Arts (AVA) of HKBU jointly organised the Hong Kong Sculpture Biennial 2016 with the Hong Kong Sculpture Society this year, showcasing three-dimensional and installation works produced by 14 AVA staff, students and alumni. The Kai Tak Campus of AVA was one of the sites for the exhibition, which ran from mid-October to mid-November.

The show evolved around the theme of “World and Heaven”. The Kai Tak Campus was seen as an excellent site for the theme of “Heaven” because it is situated in a natural environment and is itself a heritage site. The organisers considered that this site helps to liberate artists from constraints on their creativity.
