HKBU receives HK$1 million to honour outstanding students

HKBU received a generous donation of HK$1 million from Professor Albert Lee, Chair Professor of the Department of Chemistry of HKBU, and his sisters Ms Elizabeth Lee, Ms Scarlett Lee, Ms Annie Lee and Ms Alice Lee, for the establishment of the Mr and Mrs Lee Shun Ching Scholarship Fund in memory of their late parents Mr S C Lee and Mrs S W Lee. Each year, the Scholarship will be granted to two Chemistry students with outstanding academic performances and to one Christian student with excellent servant leadership qualities.

The University held a cheque presentation ceremony yesterday (14 December) officiated by Professor Albert Lee, Ms Scarlett Lee and HKBU President and Vice-Chancellor Professor Roland Chin.

Guests included Professor Lee’s wife Mrs Angela Lee; Ms Scarlett Lee’s husband Mr Lambert Au; HKBU Vice-President (Academic) Professor Franklin Luk; Vice-President (Research and Development) Professor Rick Wong; Vice-President (Administration) and Secretary Mr Andy Lee; and Associate Vice-President Professor Ricky Wong.
