Jason Wu said that he was eager to win a champion title in his final year of study therefore he went to the Hong Kong Sports Institute to receive training together with the Hong Kong team which helped him improve in sport skills and stamina. He said he was once trapped in depression but his coach and teammates selflessly rendered him their support which enabled him to regain his strength. Jason was very excited about this win and expressed his heartfelt thanks to his coach and teammates for their years of support.

It was the second time that Fung Kin-lok took part in the intercollegiate athletic competition in which he won the top and the first-runner up prize in 400m Hurdles and 110m Hurdles respectively. He was satisfied with the result as he focused on the 400m Hurdles’ training which meant it was expected that his performance in 110m Hurdles would not be as good. Kin-lok was also one of the members who helped HKBU win the first-runner prize in 4x 400m Relay.
