HKBU team gets set for Hong Kong Cyclothon

More than 100 HKBU students, alumni and staff members are competing in the various categories of this year’s Hong Kong Cyclothon to be held on Sunday. Professor Roland Chin, President and Vice-Chancellor, led members of the University’s cycling team at a kick-start ceremony yesterday (8 October) and wished them success at the Cyclothon.

 

Professor Chin and the Treasurer of the HKBU Council Ms Rosanna Choi will lead a ten-member HKBU team in the 50 km Team Ride. Other members will participate in 30 km, 50 km and University Trophy races.

 

Speaking at the ceremony, Professor Chin reminded the HKBU athletes to enjoy the race and do their best to finish, but also to drink regularly and take care of their personal safety during the event.

 

In addition, around 110 HKBU student ambassadors have volunteered to provide on-site support for the event.
