HKBU receives HK$2 million from the Tan Siu Lin Foundation and the Sun Yat-sen Education and Charity Foundation

Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) recently received two generous donations totalling HK$2 million from the Tan Siu Lin Foundation and the Sun Yat-sen Education and Charity Foundation, respectively. 

 

The HK$1 million donation from the Tan Siu Lin Foundation will support the development of the HKBU School of Chinese Medicine, while another HK$1 million donation from the Sun Yat-sen Education and Charity Foundation is designated for the HKBU Department of History’s Dr Sun Yat-sen Research Fund.

 

In recognition of the Foundations’ generosity, a cheque presentation ceremony was held today (8 July 2019). Officiating at the ceremony were Dr Tan Siu Lin, Chairman of the Tan Siu Lin Foundation and the Sun Yat-sen Education and Charity Foundation; Professor Roland Chin, President and Vice-Chancellor of HKBU; Professor Clara Ho, Head of the HKBU Department of History; and Dr Yang Junjun, Senior Consultant of the Hong Kong Baptist University-Jockey Club Chinese Medicine Disease Prevention and Health Management Centre.
