About 400 experts from the US, Mainland and Hong Kong joined the 3rd International Forum on the Development of Hong Kong Chinese Medicine Hospital at HKBU on 28 July, exchanging their views on the development of the first Chinese medicine hospital in Hong Kong and the integration of Chinese and Western medicine.

Speaking at the forum, Dr Chui Tak-yi, Under Secretary for Food and Health of the HKSAR Government, commended the University's efforts in providing a steady stream of talent for the Chinese medicine industry. He said the key of building a hospital that is emblematic of the highest standards of Chinese Medicine inpatient, outpatient and rehabilitation services hinges largely on the quality of its talent pool. He also encouraged the academia and the industry to make use of the newly launched Chinese Medicine Development Fund to nurture more young healthcare professionals for the hospital.
