作為從事藥用植物學教學與研究多年的團隊，編者拍攝並收集整理了大量高清藥用植物圖片，包括藥用植物學涉及的顯微鏡下圖和植物實拍圖。圖片拍攝角度、取材等完全用於藥用植物鑒別。考慮到現有藥用植物學書籍文字多圖片少的現狀，編者組織團隊寫了本書，力求做到理論和知識的圖像化。
