Two outstanding HKBU students are among the 15 awardees in Hong Kong who were each awarded a scholarship of HK$50,000 under the For Our Future Scholarship 2020-2021 scheme.

The two HKBU winners are Yuen Ka-mei, a year 4 student from the Bachelor of Social Work programme, and Yeung Tsz-ching, a year 4 student from the Bachelor of Chinese Medicine and Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science programme. They plan to use the scholarship to achieve their goals and aspirations.

As a social work student, Ka-mei is a keen advocate of an inclusive and diversified society. She plans to focus on family and children services after graduation, with the aspiration of building a harmonious society by strengthening family functions and relationships. Tsz-ching is dedicated to serving people of all ages and backgrounds with her medical expertise. She has designed an AI Chinese medicine diagnostic platform with her classmates to help promote Chinese medicine and integrative medicine in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.

The For Our Future Scholarship has been offered by the Greater Bay Area Homeland Youth Community Foundation to local students since 2020 in recognition of their outstanding academic studies, personal development and contributions to society.
