Chinese medicine student named outstanding youth

Michelle Yeung Tsz-ching, a Year 5 student from the Bachelor of Chinese Medicine and Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science programme, has been selected as an awardee of the Eighth Outstanding Youth Commendation Scheme organised by the Youth Development Commission. Along with nine other award recipients, Michelle was commended for her outstanding achievements in terms of her personal development, leadership skills, and contributions to social services.

 

Driven by a sense of purpose to provide healthcare services to those in need, Michelle aspires to use her knowledge and medical expertise to serve the community and help promote Chinese medicine and integrative medicine. She is also passionate about Chinese culture, and she is keen on stepping out of her comfort zone and building her capability.

 

Besides actively participating in a wide range of leadership activities, Michelle also took part in an entrepreneurial project, and she designed an AI Chinese medicine diagnostic platform with her classmates.

 

The Outstanding Youth Commendation Scheme aims to encourage young people to set targets for their personal development and actively take part in community building and social services to set an example for other young people.
