Two alumnae honoured with Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence

Miss Cheung Man-yui, a 2019 graduate of the Department of Sport, Physical Education and Health, and Miss Yeung Nga-yin, a 2022 graduate of the Academy of Music, have received scholarships from the Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence Scheme 2022 (HKSES). The award presentation ceremony was held on 24 August.

Miss Cheung will study for a Master of Physiotherapy Studies at The University of Queensland, while Miss Yeung will study for a Guildhall Artist Masters – Performance at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, each with a scholarship of up to HK$300,000 per annum.

HKSES aims to support local students to pursue studies at world-renowned universities outside of Hong Kong with a view to nurturing a top cadre of talent with a global vision, an international network and world-class education, thereby contributing to enhancing Hong Kong’s competitiveness as Asia’s world city. A total of 650 applicants competed for this year’s HKSES and 76 of them were selected.
