China Studies programme Year 4 undergraduate students Cai Tik-lung, Ling Xiaobang and Du Baihang teamed up to participate in the 12th Hong Kong China National Knowledge Competition, and they clinched the first runners-up prize in the university team category competition.
The competition was divided into two rounds, with content covering the development and anti-pandemic efforts of the country, the history of the Communist Party of China, Basic Law, as well as China’s history, geography, culture, military, aerospace development, economy, current affairs, and sports development.
This year’s competition was jointly organised by the Education Bureau, the Hong Kong Ta Kung Wen Wei Media Group, and the Group’s Future Star Federation of Student. It attracted the participation of more than 8,000 students from 240 local universities, secondary and primary schools. The event aims to enable young people in Hong Kong to understand the development trends of the country and the rest of the world, and it also seeks to enhance their national pride and sense of self-dependence.
