Communication scholar named Editor-in-Chief of international journal

Dr Charles Feng has been appointed as the Editor-in-Chief of the Cogent Social Sciences.

 

Dr Charles Feng, Associate Professor of the Department of Interactive Media of the School of Communication, has been appointed as the Editor-in-Chief of the Cogent Social Sciences, an academic journal published by the international publisher Taylor & Francis.  

Cogent Social Sciences is a multidisciplinary, open access and peer-reviewed journal that covers different research areas in social sciences, including Architecture, Criminal Justice, Criminology, Environmental Studies, Geography, International Relations, Media and Communication Studies, Planning, Politics, Social Anthropology, Sociology, Sport, Leisure, and Tourism.

Dr Feng said: “As the Editor-in-Chief, I want to further elevate the standard of the journal, broaden its reach and foster meaningful academic discourse in the social sciences.”

The journal receives nearly 2,000 submissions each year and is currently indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index and Scopus.
