HKBU clinches men’s championship at intercollegiate athletics meet

The HKBU Athletics Team clinched the championship in the overall men’s category and the second runner-up title in the overall women’s category at the 61st USFHK Annual Athletic Meet. The team also attained the third place in the overall results of this year’s competition. The HKBU Athletics Team clinched the championship in the overall men’s category and the second runner-up title in the overall women’s category at the 61st USFHK Annual Athletic Meet.

The competition was organised by The University Sports Federation of Hong Kong, China (USFHK) at the Joint Sports Centre on 4 and 5 March. The HKBU Athletics Team attained the third place in the overall results of this year’s competition. HKBU athletes won a total of six gold, seven silver and seven bronze medals with their outstanding performance.

In the individual events, the HKBU men’s team won the championship in the 400m hurdles and 4 x 400m relay, and Sit Wai-lok earned the gold medal in the men’s shot put with a record-breaking result. The women’s team also came top in the events of long jump, 800m and 100m hurdles.
