Distinguished HKBU student awarded For Our Future Scholarship

Yannis Zhang, a Year 5 student of the English Language and Education double degree programme, received the For Our Future Scholarship 2022-23 in recognition of her outstanding academic achievements, personal development and contributions to society. She is among the 15 awardees in Hong Kong this year who was awarded a scholarship of HK$50,000.

As a graduating student, Yannis aspires to be a good teacher and achieve her goals of doing more voluntary work, providing support to underprivileged students, and giving back to the community. She is grateful for the Scholarship which affirms her efforts to study and motivates her to strive for a brighter future.

The For Our Future Scholarship has been offered by the Greater Bay Area Homeland Youth Community Foundation since 2020 to recognise and encourage local university students who demonstrate outstanding academic performance with diverse talents, and a strong dedication to community service.
