Outstanding HKBU students receive government scholarships

A total of 59 HKBU undergraduate students received this year’s Scholarships for Outstanding Performance presented by the HKSAR Government in recognition of their outstanding academic performance and well-rounded development. Another 38 HKBU students were awarded the HKSAR Government’s Belt and Road Scholarship which encourages students from Belt and Road countries or regions to pursue studies in Hong Kong.

Launched in 2008, the HKSAR Government Scholarship has set up schemes including the Scholarships for Outstanding Performance and the Targeted Scholarship Scheme to attract outstanding local students to advance their studies at home, and meritorious non-local students to pursue higher education opportunities in Hong Kong. The Belt and Road Scholarship was introduced under the Targeted Scholarship Scheme.

The Education Bureau held a scholarship presentation ceremony on 25 April. Four HKBU students were invited as awardee representatives to attend the ceremony and receive the honour.
