A delegation of the University Grants Committee (UGC) visited HKBU on 18 May to understand the latest development and achievements of the University, and to exchange views with the HKBU community on the education, research and other endeavours of the University.
The 18-member delegation was led by UGC Chairman Mr Tim Lui, and comprised local and overseas members as well as senior executives of UGC. The delegation visited the University’s essential teaching, learning and research facilities including the Motion Capture and Visualisation Laboratory, the Dr. & Mrs. Hung Hin Shiu Museum of Chinese Medicine, the Mr. & Mrs. Chan Hon Yin Chinese Medicine Specialty Clinic and Good Clinical Practice Centre, the Life Science Imaging Centre, and the Visualisation Research Centre.
Members of the delegation also joined discussion sessions to have a direct exchange with more than 50 faculty members and 40 students. They had fruitful discussions on various education and research initiatives of HKBU, which helped enhance UGC members’ understanding of the University’s vision in education, development strategies, academic excellence as well as the unique teaching and learning experience offered to its students.
