HKBU honours staff with Long Service Awards and Professor Emeritus titles

HKBU held the Milestone In Service Ceremony on 12 June to present awards to over 260 retiring and long-serving colleagues in honour of their dedication and contribution to the University.

At the ceremony, seven esteemed professors were conferred the title of Professor Emeritus, namely (by academic unit):

Professor Christopher Keyes (Academy of Music)

Professor Ricky Wong Ngok-shun (Department of Biology)

Professor Jonathan Wong Woon-chung (Department of Biology)

Professor Atara Sivan (Department of Education Studies)

Professor Alice Lee Yuet-lin (Department of Interactive Media)

Professor Ed Snape (Department of Management, Marketing and Information Systems)

Professor Cheah Kok-wai (Department of Physics)

Over 260 colleagues who received the Long Service Awards have served the University for 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 years or more. Three of them were honoured for their loyal 35 years of service to the University.
