Man Lung Garden penjings exhibited at Hong Kong Flower Show

Eight miniature masterpieces from HKBU’s Man Lung Garden were showcased at the Hong Kong Flower Show from 10 to 19 March, including “rock growing Ficus microcarpa (Chinese banyan)”, “Ulmus parvifolia (Chinese elm)” and “Pinus thunbergii (black pine)”, to promote the traditional art of penjing. HKBU’s penjings attracted the admiration of many visitors.

The Man Lung Garden was set up in 2000 with the generous support of the late Dr Wu Yee-sun, “the Sage of Penjing”. Its precious penjings have been displayed in the Show for nearly twenty years and received several awards.

Organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the Show was held in Victoria Park with the theme “Bliss in Bloom”.
