Marketing student participates in social enterprises development programme in Singapore

Khun Lar Bway, a year 4 Bachelor of Business Administration student in Marketing Concentration, attended the regional workshop of the ASEAN Social Enterprises Development Programme (ASEAN-SEDP) 2.0 in Singapore from 17 to 20 October. A total of 50 social innovators from 10 ASEAN countries participated in the programme.

Khun Lar Bway is a social innovator from the Centre for Innovative Service-Learning’s (CISL) TriAngle at HKBU and a co-founder of the Myanmar social enterprise Farmers’ Bridge. In the workshop, he shared his thoughts on creating impact as well as exploring export opportunities and potential alliances with the participants. He also visited TikTok, a social platform from Mainland China, and SAP, a German enterprise developing software solution.

Organised by the ASEAN Foundation and supported by TikTok and SAP, ASEAN-SEDP 2.0 is a platform that offers social enterprises from the ASEAN region the chance to enhance their ventures through promoting productivity, technology, and innovation and increasing access to finance among other things.
