Chinese medicine student wins Sir Edward Youde Memorial Scholarship

So Hei-wa, a Year 4 student at the School of Chinese Medicine, is among the six awardees in Hong Kong who was awarded a scholarship of HK$40,000 under the Sir Edward Youde Memorial Scholarships scheme 2023-24.

Hei-wa is grateful for the invaluable learning opportunities provided by the School of Chinese Medicine, which have equipped him with the skills to become a proficient Chinese medicine practitioner in the future, enabling him to contribute to society through his profession. Looking ahead, Hei-wa aspires to engage in research in both Chinese medicine and biomedical science to enhance the overall well-being of the patients. He also aims to actively participate in the public health decision-making process and bring about a positive impact to the community.

Above all, Hei-wa extends his gratitude to the Sir Edward Youde Memorial Fund for their support and to HKBU for the nomination. The award ceremony took place on 24 March.
