HKBU organised the annual meeting of the International Advisory Board for Graduate Studies on campus on 19 and 20 June. Renowned scholars from six world-class member universities participated, including Fudan University, Imperial College London, Nanyang Technological University, National University of Singapore, University of Science and Technology of China, and Zhejiang University.
The meeting was hosted by Professor Martin Wong, Provost; and Professor Lyu Aiping, Vice-President (Research and Development). Representatives from each university engaged in in-depth discussions on the latest trends in doctoral education, including best practices in transdisciplinary development and industry engagement.
Representatives also visited HKBU's state-of-the-art research facilities located at the Kowloon Tong campus and Hong Kong Science and Technology Park. They witnessed how HKBU, in fields such as traditional Chinese medicine, drug development, innovative art-tech, and health science initiatives, expands the breadth and depth of doctoral programmes through transdisciplinary studies.
HKBU's research students also seized the opportunity to showcase their innovative thinking and achievements during the poster presentation session, engaging in inspiring transdisciplinary dialogues with the representatives.
