School of Business hosts the first Alumni Forum and 2024-2025 Event Launch Dinner

The School of Business, in collaboration with the HKBU Alumni Association, hosted the inaugural Alumni Forum and the 2024-2025 Event Launch Dinner in Shenzhen on 19 October, bringing together more than 400 alumni, the majority of whom are graduates of the School of Business.

In her welcome speech, Dr Monique Wan, the Associate Dean (Taught Postgraduate Studies), highlighted the School’s recent achievements and emphasised the invaluable role of alumni as the School’s greatest asset. Professor Alex Wai, President and Vice-Chancellor, and Ms Christine Chow, Vice President (Administration) and Secretary, shared the University’s latest developments and research achievements with the alumni at the event.

Dr Wan delivered a talk on the power of AI in social innovation at the forum. Other notable speakers included Mr Jianming Zhang, General Manager of the Shenzhen Red Bull; Mr Guoxiong Li, Chairman of the Luban Corporation; and Dr Jacinto Tong, President of the HKBU Alumni Association. Dr Tong said that the association will host a series of events in the Greater China region to bring together more alumni.
