School of Business hosts inaugural career expo

The Business Career Expo creates a platform for students to connect with potential employers.

 

The Career and Alumni Engagement Section of the School of Business hosted its inaugural Business Career Expo 2024 on 7 November on campus under the theme “Be Your Own Career Coach”. A total of 500 participants engaged with booths from 12 leading companies across accounting, banking and finance, retail, entertainment and public utility sectors, gaining valuable insights and connections. 

The School also showcased its resources with two dedicated booths: the Career and Alumni Engagement Section, offering AI prompt tips for job searching and interview preparation, and the BBA Programme, which highlighted the LinkedIn Learning platform for ongoing professional development.

A highlight of the event was the alumni dialogue and market update sessions, featuring alumni speakers Mr Edward Wong, Management Trainee at Hang Seng Bank Limited, and Miss Anson Hui, Graduate Trainee at The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited. Mr Anthony So, CEO and Co-founder of OnMyGrad, also provided insights into the current landscape of management trainee and graduate trainee programmes.
