Seven HKBU students receive AIA scholarships

Professor Henry Fock (5th right), Director of Student Affairs, congratulates the seven HKBU recipients of the AIA Scholarships. Also present at the ceremony are two recent HKBU graduates and former scholarship awardees, expressing their heartfelt thanks to the donor.

 

Seven HKBU first-year undergraduate students have been awarded the AIA Scholarships in the 2023-24 academic year, in recognition of their academic achievements and active engagement in community service. The award presentation ceremony was held on 7 October.

The awardees are Chau Wing-yau (Journalism and Digital Media), Chow Tsz-hin (Computer Science), Fung Kei-yan (Applied Biology - Environmental Science), Kong Wing (Chinese Language and Literature), Li Nizhi (Applied Biology – Biotechnology), Ma Ho-sum (Chinese Language and Literature) and Yeung Cheuk-ki (Public Relations and Advertising). Each recipient will receive a scholarship of HK$50,000 each year throughout their entire undergraduate studies.

AIA Foundation has pledged US$100 million to establish the AIA Scholarships in 2020, supporting 100 undergraduates every year.
