International Women’s Day campaign advocates for gender equality

In support of International Women’s Day, the Human Resources Office organised a campaign themed “Accelerate Action” on campus on 6 March to forge gender equality, attracting over 500 staff members and students.

In collaboration with a social enterprise, the Human Resource Office used large building blocks to form a girl figurine striking the “Accelerate Action” pose. The event aligned with this year’s International Women’s Day theme, “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment” and provided participants with photo opportunities.

Display boards were also set up to introduce International Women’s Day, and non-governmental organisations and social enterprises dedicated to promoting gender equality, as well as highlight the University’s commitment to promoting equality and inclusion in the workplace. Participants also received souvenirs featuring the “Accelerate Action” pose, and handcrafted products made by women from the local social enterprises.
