In support of the University’s dedication to sustainability, the Human Resources Office organised SDGs@HRO Day on 25 March on campus under the theme “Supporting SDGs at Work”. The event aimed to promote the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) while fostering meaningful workplace connections, attracting over 300 staff and students.

Collaborating with local social enterprises, the Human Resource Office set up various activity booths featuring activities that promote equity, diversity, and inclusion. These included henna handprint art, braille card printing, and a sign language café. Additionally, the Estates Office introduced eco-friendly initiatives on campus, including the Green Corner with smart recycling facilities, and green catering measures.

Pledge boards were set up to invite participants to pledge their support for the SDGs, while display boards introduced the SDGs and their relevance to Human Resources. Participants also received “SDGs@HRO” themed logo pins and tote bags as souvenirs.
