Kenny Woo Shi-nam, a Year 4 student from the School of Chinese Medicine (SCM), was awarded a scholarship of HK$40,000 under the Sir Edward Youde Memorial Scholarships scheme in the 2024/25 academic year. He is among the six undergraduate students in Hong Kong receiving this award this year.

Kenny is immensely honoured to receive this prestigious scholarship and regards this as a testament to his dedication to Chinese medicine and passion for community services. He is deeply grateful for the support from the SCM, which has nurtured him to become a professional and compassionate Chinese medicine practitioner through service-learning programmes and exchange tours.

Looking ahead, Kenny’s goals are to promote the strength of Chinese medicine in a wider spectrum. He plans to advance his clinical skills upon graduation and continue to promote the positive usage of Chinese medicine.

Kenny also extends his heartfelt gratitude to the Sir Edward Youde Memorial Fund for their support and to the Office of Student Affairs for the nomination. The award ceremony took place on 16 March.
