Journalism student clinches title at triathlon competition

Fu Rong, a third-year journalism student, clinched the women’s half-distance (18–24) title and finished as the women’s overall runner-up at the Wealspring Asset Fujian Dongshan Island Triathlon Challenge on 21 September.

Earlier this year, she won the women’s 20–29 super sprint-distance title at the 2025 Asia Triathlon Sprint Championships Hong Kong in April; captured the women’s 18-24 sprint-distance championship and seventh place in the women’s division at the SCT Triathlon held at Shang Lake in Changshu, Jiangsu Province, in June; and met the Olympic-distance elite amateur standard at the 2025 China Jianzha Yellow River Triathlon Open held in Qinghai Province in July.
