Mr Allan Wong, Director of Information Technology, recently received the CSO30 Business Value Individual Award presented by a security-focused platform CSO Online, in recognition of his contributions to advancing cybersecurity at HKBU.
The nominated project for this award was an AI-enabled, multi-vector threat analytics and adaptive response solution. This award recognises the Office of Information Technology’s strategic initiative to modernise HKBU’s cybersecurity infrastructure through an “automation-first” security operation. By leveraging AI and machine learning to manage the majority of repetitive tasks, the Office has significantly improved the speed, accuracy, and efficiency of HKBU’s security defenses. The University’s security infrastructure is now more robust and adaptive. This foundation is a critical enabler for HKBU’s broader digital transformation, empowering the University to pursue innovation in teaching and research with greater confidence and security.
The CSO30 Business Value Individual Award honours the top 30 Chief Security Officers (CSOs), Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), and security leaders whose security initiatives have delivered exceptional organisational protection and business benefits.
