Fourteen HKBU undergraduate students have been awarded the Link University Scholarship 2025/26 in recognition of their academic excellence and meaningful contributions to the community. The scholarship presentation ceremony took place on 24 January.
The awardees include seven first-year students: Jayden Cheung (Communication), Cheung Lok-ngai (Integrated BBA Programme), Cho Sin-tung (Arts), Qi Tszyeung (Arts), John Ivan Singh (Innovation in Health and Social Well-Being), Wong Ka-yi (Arts and Sciences), and Tsoi Man-ying (Chinese Medicine and Biomedical Science).
The remaining seven recipients, from other years of study, are Chan Ming-fu (Chinese Language and Literature), Chan Yi-ching (PR and Advertising), Law Ming-ho (Analytical and Testing Science), Mai Xuanyue (Chinese Language and Literature), So Tsz-ying (Chinese Medicine), Wong Pui-hei (Geography), and Yan Oi-wan (Religion, Philosophy and Ethics).
Among them, Chan Ming-fu and Wong Pui-hei received the scholarship for the second time, with Wong Pui-hei delivering the vote of thanks during the ceremony. Guests at the ceremony included Professor Amy Lee, Director of Student Affairs, and Miss Winnie Li, Student Development Manager of the Scholarships and Financial Aid Unit of the Office of Student Affairs.
Established in 2015, the Link University Scholarship aims to reduce barriers to higher education by supporting outstanding local students with financial needs and those who are the first in the three generations of their families to attend university. For the 2025/26 academic year, a total of 220 students were awarded the scholarship, each receiving HK$20,000.
