HKBU Free Chinese Medicine Consultation Days bolstered by another HK$1 million donation from Tan Siu Lin Foundation

The Tan Siu Lin Foundation has once again demonstrated its generosity by bolstering the HKBU “Tan Siu Lin Foundation Perpetual Fund for Free Chinese Medicine Consultation Day” with a donation of HK$1 million, which enables the School of Chinese Medicine (SCM) to organise regular free consultation days at its Lui Seng Chun clinic. This initiative provides free medicine consultations and medication to the underprivileged members of the community, embodying the Chinese medicine ethos of “healing the sick and serving the needy”.

The Tan Siu Lin Foundation was established by Dr Tan Siu Lin, Founder and Chairman of Luen Thai Group. Since 2016, the Foundation has contributed a cumulative total of HK$10 million to SCM, advancing its community care services, teaching development and research innovation. Beyond Chinese medicine, the Foundation has provided sustained backing for the University’s strategic development and the Department of History’s research related to Dr Sun Yat-sen. The Foundation is recognised as an Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation.
