Research Office hosts research mingle to celebrate the Year of the Horse

The Research Office hosted the “Research Mingle: Celebrating Chinese New Year” on 2 March, bringing together more than 70 researchers and colleagues from various faculties and schools across the University. The event provided a platform for networking, idea exchange, and fostering future transdisciplinary collaborations.

Attending guests included Professor Martin Wong, Provost; Professor Lyu Aiping, Vice-President (Research and Development) cum Dean of Graduate School; Professor Liu Jiming, Associate Provost; Professor Johnny M Poon, Associate Vice-President (Interdisciplinary Research) and Dean of School of Creative Arts; Professor Daniel Lai, Dean of Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences; Professor Zhang Han, Dean of School of Business; Professor Li Min, Dean of School of Chinese Medicine; Professor Zhong Bu, Dean of School of Communication; Professor Michael Ng, Dean of Faculty of Science; Professor Christy Cheung, Director of Research Office; Professor Cheung King-ho, Executive Associate Dean of Graduate School; and Professor Cheung Yiu-ming, Dean of Institute for Research and Continuing Education. Professor Hao Gefei, Professor of Guizhou University, also participated in the event.

The event featured a range of engaging activities, including a traditional calligraphy booth, an interactive photo booth, and a research showcase. To mark International Women’s Day on 8 March, a special exhibition zone highlighted research projects exploring key topics such as gender roles, family dynamics, and evolving societal norms.
