Department of Biology visits Ningbo Life Science City to explore collaboration opportunities

Fourteen faculty and staff members from the Department of Biology visited Ningbo Life Science City on 30 May, where they engaged in industry-academia exchanges with life and health industry units in the Fenghua District, Ningbo. During the visit, they gained in-depth insights into the local industrial ecosystem, relevant policies, and collaboration needs. The team also shared their research strengths, technology readiness, application scenarios and pathways to research translation in molecular biology and marine bioresource development. Additionally, they introduced several recent projects with strong commercialisation prospects.

The Department also toured Saiweier Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and the Ningbo Kangfeng Life & Health Industrial Park, visiting their facilities, discussing technological needs, and exploring opportunities for collaboration.
