Twenty-four HKBU students received various HSBC scholarships in the 2025/26 academic year, including the Global Scholarship, Hong Kong Scholarship, Social Work Scholarship, and Vocational Education Scholarship. Ten of the recipients attended the HSBC Scholars Day 2026, a commendation event at the HSBC Main Building in Central on 15 July.
This year, over 180 awardees from 19 tertiary institutions across Hong Kong were honoured for their academic excellence and contributions to the community. Professor Amy Lee, Director of Student Affairs, and Miss Winnie Li, Student Development Manager of the Scholarships & Financial Aid Unit of HKBU, attended the event alongside representatives of The Hongkong Bank Foundation and other university representatives. HKBU recipients took full advantage of this opportunity to connect with fellow recipients from other institutions and build networks to support their continued personal and professional growth.
The “Hub for the Future” programme for the HSBC scholarship recipients, was also featured at the gathering. The initiative offers mentorship, leadership training, and community service opportunities to equip students to become the next generation of leaders and agents of positive change.
